AI Voiceover Tag Helper
Modern expressive AI voices understand bracketed audio tags — stage directions like [whispers] or [laughs] that steer delivery. Click any tag to insert it at your cursor, then copy or download your finished script.
1. Pick tags
2. Write your script
Tip: most AI voice platforms bill per character, and tags count toward that total. Density guide: aim for roughly one tag per 40+ characters of dialogue.
How to use audio tags
- Put tags on their own or inline:
[sighs] I can't believe this happened. - Tags work best sparingly — one per sentence or two is usually plenty.
- Combine an emotion with a delivery tag for stronger effect:
[nervous] [whispers] they're right behind us. - Accent tags are supported by some v3-style voices; results vary by provider and voice.
Compatibility note: this is a generic helper that produces plain-text scripts with bracketed tags. It works with v3-style expressive AI voices (for example ElevenLabs v3). Tag support varies by provider — test a short sample in your voice platform first.
